Joe Salamida founded The Screen Shop in 1945 at 601 Hamline Street, San Jose. Joe's two son's and five grandchildren continue to this day to own and operate The Screen Shop at the same location. Customers entering the office are usually assisted by a family member, since nine family members continue in the business. Newly added shop, manufacturing and warehouse facilities greatly aid the business.
Installation and shop work is done by veteran, experienced crew leaders, and shop workers, who benefit from years of working in the screen and window industry. Because of the more than 60 years of experience, The Screen Shop has knowledge of many older style products, and access to “hard to find” parts and components.
Honesty and ethics is the foundation of everything we do at The Screen Shop. This is why our family business has developed a long list of satisfied customers for more than 60 years..
