Alco Ventures Inc. was certified under the Q-Base Quality Management System in February of 1996 and is re-certified every year through an independent audit process as specified by the Q-Base certification organization. The Q-Base Quality Management System is based on the ISO-9000 series of quality standards and puts into place an environment which mandates continuous improvement.

Most importantly, the Q-Base Quality Management System ensures consistent quality standards.

Warranty

Our warranty is unsurpassed. Mirage offers a one-year warranty on parts and labour and a lifetime warranty on all parts for the retractable screen (except the screen material) under normal wear and tear. Ask your dealer for details.

Mirage Lifetime Factory Limited Warranty

Alco Ventures Inc. (ALCO) warrants that its “Mirage” retractable screen, when used for Residential* purposes only, and installed at the registered location will be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use for the life of the retractable screen at the registered location. This warranty is for the exclusive benefit of the Owner whose name appears on the warranty registration and is not assignable or transferable. This warranty specifically excludes screen mesh and speed reducer product. The word “defect” as used in this warranty, is defined as imperfections which impair the utility of the product. * Residential as referenced in this warranty is defined as privately owned, single family detached, duplex and multi-family housing. Commercial and rental properties do not qualify under this warranty.

Lifetime Warranty Limitations

This warranty does not cover damage due to normal weathering, chalking, scratching, fading, corrosive atmosphere contaminants (eg. chemical fumes, pollution, salt), volcanic ash, lightning, windstorms, tornadoes, or any other act of God, explosions, riots, civil disturbances, war, misuse or abuse, or other causes beyond the control of Alco Ventures Inc. This warranty does not include those screws and/or other fasteners used in the assembly and/or installations of this retractable screen.

Alco Ventures Inc. will not be required to honour this warranty if the retractable screen installation has been modified, altered or changed in any manner at time of installations or thereafter, or if the retractable screen has not been installed by any authorized Mirage dealer. Alco Ventures Inc. will not be required to honour this warranty without being given a reasonable opportunity to have it’s representative investigate any claim made. If after investigating the claim, Alco Ventures Inc. determines the claim is valid, Alco Ventures Inc. sole liability and the Owner’s only remedy shall be as follows:

For one year from time of purchase Alco Ventures Inc. will replace the complete unit as installed originally, free of charge, if the product is defective under the terms of this warranty. (Screen mesh and speed reducer product specifically excluded.)
For the balance of the term of this warranty Alco Ventures Inc. will replace any part of the unit that is defective under the terms of this warranty free of charge on a prepaid shipping basis. (Screen mesh and speed reducer product specifically excluded.)

Any claim under this warranty must be made within 14 days after the circumstances giving rise to any such claim are discovered by the Owner.

Any claim under this warranty must be made in writing to Alco Ventures Inc. at the address listed at www.alcoventures.com or to the installing Dealer and must include a copy of this warranty document.

Alco Ventures Inc. will not be responsible or liable for loss of use of the said retractable screen or any costs or damages which are consequential to any defect of the said retractable screen.

This warranty shall be construed and enforced in accordance with, and the rights of the parties hereto shall be governed by, the laws of the Province of British Columbia. Any and all disputes arising under the warranty, whether as to interpretation, performance or otherwise, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of British Columbia.

THIS WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ADDITIONALLY, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE TERMS OF THIS WARRANTY.
