Mirage Screen Systems offers expert retractable screen door installation and replacement services for:
French and Double Doors
Retractable screens can be installed on French and double doors; there will be two screens that are installed with a magnet in the middle that will hold them in place. Typically, you would have one side of the screen door pinned and the other side not pinned so you can go in and out of the non-pinned door. Your local Mirage dealer will be able to explain this further and find the best solution for your screening needs.
Porch & Patio
If you’re looking for a screen solution for your porch & patio, retractable screens can be an option for you. Depending on the size and configuration of the application, our 3500 large opening screen door and 4800 motorized screens can be installed. The 3500 screens were designed to be installed on bi-folding doors or nanowalls but can also be used for gazebos and other large openings. The 4800 screen is a rolldown system that is typically installed to enclose your outdoor living space.
Garage Doors
If you’re looking to install a screen on your garage door, the best option would be a 4800 motorized screen. Our motorized screens are custom-made to fit your garage door and will keep the bugs out so you can work or play in your garage with ease.
Sliding Doors
Retractable screen doors are a great alternative to traditional sliding screen doors as they don’t take away from the aesthetic of your existing door. Mirage retractable screens are the smoothest screens in the industry and retract back into their housing when not in use, unlike a sliding screen door that is noisy and clunky.
Can You Put Retractable Screen Doors On Any Doors?
Retractable screens can be installed on most doors as long as they’re square and you have a clean surface to install the cassette and align the tracks. Common applications for retractable screen doors are single-entry doors, French or double doors, and sliding patio doors. Retractable screens can be installed on in-swing or out-swing doors as well.
Can Existing Retractable Screens Be Replaced With New Ones?
Yes, if you have a retractable screen currently installed on your home one of our Mirage dealers will be able to replace the screen unit fully or can fix it. Most of the time, our dealers will be able to figure out what’s wrong with your screen and order the necessary parts to have it operating like new!

Mirage Screen Systems prides itself on offering the smoothest retractable screen door on the market! We have continuously worked on our flagship product over the past 25 years to deliver the highest quality retractable screen door we can. All Retractable Screen Sizes Available
Retractable screens come in three heights and widths. The heights are 83”, 98” and 108”, and the widths are 45”, 55” and 64”. Keep in mind that your installer will cut the screen to the exact height of your door so it fits perfectly.
Color Options Available
Our retractable screens come in 8 standard colors and 18 diamond series colors so that you won’t have a problem matching it with the color of your door. We can also do custom colors if you have a unique-colored door, so ask your local Mirage dealer about that option.
Retractable Screen Mesh Options
Our retractable screens can come in two mesh options. The standard mesh is a fiberglass mesh; we recommend this option as it allows the screen to run the smoothest. If you have pets in your home, we have a tough screen mesh option that is scratch-resistant polyester mesh.
Other Products
Mirage carries two different products: a large-opening retractable screen and a motorized screen. Our 3500 large-opening screen fits larger openings, bi-fold doors, and multi-panel sliding doors. The motorized product is also for larger openings and fits garage doors or patio enclosures. We also offer custom retractable screen options.

Retractable screens are spring loaded mechanisms that have a roller tube of mesh inside the cassette. When the retractable screen is installed, the cassette is mounted on the side of your doorway with the tracks running parallel at the top and bottom of your doorframe. The screen retracts out and is held in place with a magnet, when you retract the screen back it coils up in the cassette and is hidden away.
